| Winnie Joseph, MA, MITI, MCIL, RPSI – Production Director | |||||
| Winnie is from Hong Kong. She worked for the Hong Kong government as a civil servant, serving in various departments as a Chinese Language Officer for five years. Posted to District Board, Trade and Housing Departments, she provided translation and interpreting services for her colleagues. | |||||
| After settling in the UK, she worked as an in-house Chinese linguist for a London publishing house, where she learnt her skills in subtitling and desktop publishing. | |||||
| Winnie has a master's degree in linguistics and information processing from Leeds University. She holds a postgraduate diploma in law from the College of Law (Birmingham), a diploma in public service interpreting in English law and is a registered public service interpreter in English law. | |||||
| She is an avid reader, particularly interested in crime stories and science fiction. | |||||
Tao Zeng, MSc, ACCA – Project Manager |

| Tao is from Guangzhou, China and was trained as an accountant. As a qualified ACCA member and a holder of an MPhil qualification in Economics at the University of London, he oversees all our work in the area of finance and accounting. | |||||
| Before coming to Britain, Tao was the head of audit unit of Fok Ying Tung Foundation China Branch. He was also a Vice Manager of the Audit Department of Tellus (Group) Co. Ltd in Shenzhen, China. | |||||
| Prior to joining The Lingoes, he was a news translator for the London-based Phoenix Chinese TV Channel. He also worked as an auditor for Leigh Philip & Partners, a chartered firm based in London. | |||||
| His interests include archaeology, history and travel. | |||||
| Hugh Joseph, BA, MA – English Editor | |||||
| Hugh has been a qualified teacher of English for over 20 years. He has taught in English secondary schools, and is also experienced in teaching foreign students of different nationalities. He spent several years teaching English to students in Germany, Malaysia and Hong Kong. | |||||
| His interests include sailing, jazz and travel. He has an honour's degree in English and fine art, and a master's degree in linguistics and English language teaching from Leeds University. | |||||
| Yvonne Chan, BA – Chinese Linguist (European Market – German) | |||||
| Yvonne holds a degree in German and Translation from the University of Hong Kong. She spent a year in Bonn while undertaking a junior year programme at the University of Bonn from 2005 to 2006. | |||||
| She enjoyed working as an Education Officer for DAAD Hong Kong (German Academic Exchange Service), where she was responsible for organising their European Higher Education Fair 2007 in Hong Kong. | |||||
| Yvonne has won several prizes in a number of Chinese writing competitions in Hong Kong. One of her winning novelettes 'The face hidden under a surgical mask' won a third prize and has been published in a collection of winning entries by Ming Pao Publications Limited in 2005. | |||||
| Besides writing, Yvonne loves travelling, hiking and photographing. |
